The Role

You will play a key role in assisting the investment team to underwrite and transact on new property/portfolio investments (both acquisition and development) across the US as well as support the Asset Management team with portfolio analysis and reporting while also providing solid market research.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform market research and analyze offering materials to support investment strategies and decisions as well as the underwriting of acquisition and development opportunities.
  • Perform financial analysis of acquisitions and development opportunities via financial modelling, analysis of cash flows and application of valuation methods using a combination of Argus and Excel software.
  • Prepare presentation materials and proposals for the senior deal team members and the investment committee.
  • Assist with acquisitions due diligence by performing document control, reading of leases, verifying projections and other duties assigned.
  • Assist our portfolio team in preparing portfolio level analysis and finance projects
  • Review of financial models; liaising with regional asset management teams
  • Review of fund returns; liaising with finance team
  • Responsibility for reporting including: quarterly summary of investment sector holdings, preparation of quarterly investment data file, quarterly submission of other investment/operating data, preparation of annual strategy session materials and ad hoc investor reporting as required
  • Managing market intelligence and collating global market or industry information to ensure competitiveness of the Company’s products and services

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Real Estate, Building, Business, Finance or its equivalent
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in real estate or finance
  • Be operationally hands-on with sound financial grounding
  • A good team player, possess a high level of initiative and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Resourceful, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Argus required
