Description
We are currently seeking a Director of Capital Markets for our NYC office. This position is focused exclusively on the placement of equity for our commercial real estate transactions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain external relationships with key market participants, including institutional investors and family offices (both domestic and international)
- Raise equity on a transaction by transaction basis for US real estate deals
- Negotiate and structure joint ventures with equity partners
- Partner with Acquisitions team in closing process for new transactions
- Manage the preparation of presentation and pitch materials for new business pursuits
- Compile and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data for input into client deliverables
- Review real estate documents and create reports for clients and prospective clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate or related field
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in the real estate industry
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing and communication skills
- Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables
- Must be a great team player with an entrepreneurial attitude
- Strong technical skills and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word software is required
- Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
