Job Description

 

M&A Real Estate Partners, a Los Angeles based, multifamily and student housing owner/operator with assets located throughout the United States is seeking an Asset Management Associate to join our team.  This individual will assist our team with tracking asset performance, budgeting and financial review, and other asset management related activities. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Review and publish monthly financial reports
  • Create and oversee monthly performance of property budgets
  • Oversee property and financial performance in relation to annual budgets and original proforma assumptions
  • Create and track property pre-leasing performance
  • Set property rents annually
  • Oversee and track property capital projects and expenditures
  • Assist property management team with ad hoc requests and daily management activities
  • Oversee lender management activities
  • Serve as primary point of contact for insurance and tax related matters
  • Assist in property acquisitions and dispositions

 

Ideal Candidate Must Possess:

 

  • One to three years’ experience as a commercial real estate analyst or asset manager.  Multifamily or student housing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top tier University with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher. 
  • Advanced Excel knowledge with the ability to analyze data and model ad hoc scenarios
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and financing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to create waterfall and disposition models
  • Past experience overseeing capital projects
  • Ability to assess qualitative and quantitative characteristics of properties and/or investments
  • Outgoing personality with the drive to succeed
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with third parties
  • Ability to thrive in a small office environment
