Description
Ackerman & Co. is seeking an Accountant to support the Property Management Accounting team.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial and job cost reporting for various projects and partnerships
- Review lease input, billing adjustments, and monthly tenant billings
- Review of annual and/or quarterly CAM, CPI, Real Estate Tax and Insurance billings
- Review Percentage-rent sales calculations
- Assist in reconciling tenant balances and handle tenant-billing questions
- Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules annually and /or quarterly
- Assist with external audits and budget preparation
- Review FASB13 rental adjustments and maintain information in MRI
- Prepare monthly bank statement and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and enter monthly journal entries
- Review payables for coding and review check-selection report for payments
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Commercial real estate experience preferred
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field experience
- Experience with Yardi or MRI accounting system preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivots, lookups a plus)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
