Associate - Investments

Responsibilities:  

The Associate will work in a team-oriented culture and will support the Investments team with specific focus on sourcing acquisition opportunities, leading valuation and due diligence activities, and contributing to ongoing portfolio and asset management of institutional-quality urban retail assets.  Duties include:

• Work closely with Managing Directors to provide support for the following areas:  sourcing acquisition opportunities in target markets, execution of new transactions, preparation of investment memoranda, and related market research

• Support post-contract investment due diligence and onboarding  

• Prepare Investment Committee Memoranda, market and ownership reports, and related presentations

• Work closely with Asset Management, Leasing, and Redevelopment teams to formulate business plans

• Establish and maintain relationships in target markets with key stakeholders including brokers, owners, and service providers

• Work closely with the Investment Analysts throughout underwriting process

• Collaborate with senior management to evaluate new geographic markets for investment

• Train in a variety of areas, including Argus and other technical platforms, real estate finance, redevelopment and disposition strategy, portfolio management and lease decision strategy, real estate investment underwriting

Requirements:

• 3 - 7 years of experience in Real Estate Investments, Asset Management, or Capital Markets 

•  

  Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field  

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Argus Enterprise experience strongly preferred  

• Detail oriented; organized, able to manage multiple priorities 

• Strong work ethic

• Self-motivated

• Capable of effective independent judgment

• Frequent travel
