Asset Manager

Asset Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the supportive housing portfolio in Southern California. This position requires a working knowledge of real estate, basic finance, accounting, Low Income Tax Credit Housing (LIHTC) and agency regulatory agreements, site visits and monthly financial review.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Perform review of monthly property operating reports including key performance indicators and budget variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with other departments, outside partners and property managers to ensure timely/accurate reporting and compliance with the agreements and in some cases produce such reports
  • Coordinate and/or produce annual/quarterly GP certifications
  • Respond to ad hoc investor, partner, lender or internal requests for portfolio information.
  • Perform reviews of and propose changes to the annual property budgets
  • Monitor projects in construction, including construction site visits, lease-up monitoring.
  • Provide project management support for tax credit, construction and permanent financing applications
  • Perform operating project site visits: identify, prioritize, follow-up on project issues, work with partners to resolve issues.
  • Review and interpret partnership audited financial statements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in multi-housing property management or property accounting
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines.
  • Financial and analytical skills, ability to understand and interpret financial statements for real estate assets.
  • Problem solving skills, issue identification, definition and development of resolution action plan.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, Excel, and Yardi (is a plus)
